Liverpool are working on a move for a highly rated teenage forward amid interest from other Premier League clubs.
Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign 17-year-old striker Will Wright from Salford City, one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the club’s academy, according to DaveOCKOP.
The teenager has also attracted interest from several top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester City.
We understand Liverpool are keen to move ahead of their rivals in the race and have already submitted multiple bids for the highly rated forward.
Wright made his senior debut for Salford in January, coming on against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Despite the 8-0 defeat, his appearance at just 16 highlighted the League Two side’s faith in his potential.
Since then, he’s featured in League Two games against Port Vale and Bradford City and has been named in Salford’s matchday squad on ten occasions.
A natural centre-forward, Wright has scored over 40 goals across Salford’s youth and reserve sides — a form that has brought him onto the radar of England’s biggest clubs.

Wright’s potential arrival reflects Liverpool’s broader transfer strategy this summer — blending elite-level signings with smart youth recruitment.
While the club has already landed high-profile players like Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from top European sides, they’re also moving decisively in the youth market.
Earlier this window, Liverpool completed the signing of highly rated Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi, and are now pushing to add Will Wright to their academy ranks.
This balanced approach underlines the club’s focus on staying competitive across all fronts, ensuring a strong senior squad while steadily developing the next generation.
